This veteran radio and TV personality has crisscrossed the nation in her search for fabulously frugal finds. She is the Diva of stunning interiors, turning the forgotten into the unforgettable- for a fraction of the cost. Barbara now shares her secrets to finding deals, repurposing before tossing and renewing things others view as passe,’ in her recent book release Tossed & Found.

Her tell-all book is not only a journey of personal transformation, but teaches a newly frugal nation how to purchase, purge and profit from consignment and thrift.

The beauty of this transformation is that she was able to complete this room for LESS than what she would have spent on ONE SOFA from a furniture store.  Consignment items in this picture included:  Pottery Barn style sofa, soft green with contrasting piping;  Hand hooked wool decorative rug;  (2) Black lacquered side chairs with upholstered seats;  round occasional table with reclaimed wood top and wrought iron base used for a coffee table;  accent pillows.  Nancy already had the floor lamps that we incorporated into the space along with a few plants to soften. 

It was fun, fast and saved Nancy hundreds of dollars. ONE STOP SHOPPING.   Now that is a BEAUTIFUL THING!

We had a little different format this time in that we did not have a Professional Designer do our presentation.  We chose two amateur gardners, who love to play in the dirt and create beautiful patios, decks and gardens, do the honors.  Terry Anderson and Cristina Stafford, next door neighbors with self taught skills and creative eyes, shared some of their beautiful techniques and secrets.  Here are a few of the COOL IDEAS that were presented.  ENJOY!

    Accessories are always the fun part.  Colorful oil lamps for lighting, candles and more candles, single stem flowers for interest and simple watering cans brough alive by florals and greenery. 

Patios and Decks can be fun and certainly a welcoming outdoor room to your home.  In fact the same fundamentals of design apply to outside as well as in.

It is hard to believe we are actually ONE YEAR OLD.  I remember when we opened.  We were so nervous we did not have enough inventory and that we would never fill up that first half of the building.    Low and behold we  expanded within 3 months and today we wish we had an even bigger building, with over 500 consignors and a customer base over 2,000.  Not bad for the first year.

Everyone told us we were crazy to begin a new business in the biggest recession in history, but we pulled it off with the support of the Canton community and the wonderful people of Cherokee County.

We are having a grand time and love what we do.  We especially love our consignors and customers who are loyal, supportive and just plain fun to work with.   Please join us in celebrating this FIRST ANNIVERSARY next weekend and let us say THANK YOU in person.
